In Vatika, climbing enthusiasts will find many different routes between the vertical rocks. The climbing park of Cape Malea in Zombolo has a number of routes with different degrees of difficulty, with rocks of exceptional quality that make climbing safer and with a unique view. In Zombolo, where the first opening took place, there are 130 different routes, fully equipped for beginners and experienced climbers, being also suitable for training. The field has a southeast orientation and in summer it is exposed to the sun from 11 in the morning until 6 in the afternoon. Climbing during these hours is prohibited. For the remaining months, and especially from November to April, climbing becomes ideal for this field. Other areas explored with shade throughout the summer are Lykokremos, northeast, with no routes. The field of Hioni has 30 routes and shade in the summer until 2 at noon as well as the field Kotroni with shade from 12 at noon. For all fields, an effort is made to build paths by the Association and the Municipality of Monemvasia for easier and safer access.
